Duration of the Course: 2 Years

Condition of Admission: Senior Secondary Certificate and 3 months of professional experience in any field of hotel management

Language of Instruction: French / English

Tuition Fee: € 5000 for 1 Year & € 3000 2nd Year

Paid Internship: Organized by iFIM (internship can be started only after reaching B1 level in French)

Accommodation: Student accommodation will be organized by iFIM, and the students need to pay for their rent

 

Diploma in Hospitality Professions at iFIM prepares you for management and supervisory roles in the diverse and ever-changing hospitality sector. It trains our students learn the essentials of operational hospitality management and refine your leadership style to help lead strong customer service.

 

The Hospitality Diploma Program provides our students with marketing and management principles associated with lodging and restaurant operations. If the candidates already have experience in the field, the program offers an opportunity to expand their marketing and management theory and practice in preparation for university transfer or management training programs.

The focus of the Diploma in Hospitality Professions at iFIM is to provide learners with the appropriate knowledge, technical and personal skills and attitudes to work effectively, efficiently and sustainably at operational and supervisory levels within the hospitality industry. Their basic managerial and high-level operational competencies in hospitality management operation will provide the foundation to process into managerial positions. The diploma will enable graduates to manage future operations competently including front office management, housekeeping, essential culinary arts, beverage services, practical knowledge of wines, cocktails and Barista training.

Upon completion of this qualification, graduates will be able to: 

  • Utilize the basic technical skills to effectively apply different cooking methods suitable for particular events and determine the role of ingredients in pastry making. 
  • Utilize the required technical skills to prepare various types of pastries in the basic level.
  • Demonstrate the effectively apply the risk-return principle, the cost-benefit principle as well as the time value of money principle in a hospitality organization. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to calculate different types of costs incurred in hospitality and catering enterprises 
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial initiative applied in the development of a business plan for a hospitality enterprise. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to prepare a budget for a specific period showing the estimated turnover and other income as well as the estimated expenses and therefore the results as estimated income.
  • The graduate is equipped with diverse skills such as food and beverage management, housekeeping, basic culinary arts, hospitality marketing, entrepreneurial and soft skills. Graduates can work in hospitals, geriatric centers, higher education institutions, restaurants, hotels or events organizations.
